Mentmore Arts Festival

My first time at Mentmore – looking forward to meeting lots of new people.

We had a busy Private View last night, which was very welcome considering the horrible weather. This afternoon I spent some enjoyable time talking to very lovely people about my work and managed to buy some plants for my rather bare plot. Also resisted the cakes but may not be so strong on Monday!

The Secret of my Parcels Revealed

Finally have had time to unwrap my dye parcels – plenty of time to ‘cook’ then – which is good.

Very few leaf prints and those that have worked are very feint so much more work to do.

But despite this some very exciting results – yey!

         

My Next Event

Looking forward to my first event with Sally Evans Artists and Makers Fairs.

I will be in the Plant Centre at Waddesdon Manor 10.00am to 4pm tomorrow and Sunday (11th and 12th May).

More Dyeing Results

Fabrics dyed with the last dregs of previously brewed natural ingredients.

More lovely bundles waiting to be revealed – as usual will have to be patient.

New Dye Pot Ingredients!

Back from sunny Ashridge where I gathered lots of lovely leaves, moss and bark for my dye pot. Can’t wait to get cooking tomorrow!
